Kim Kardashian and LaLa Vazquez: Out and About

This isn’t exactly breaking news, nor is it the most exciting celebrity gossip story you’ll read today.

But don’t blame us. Blame Kim Kardashian.

If the reality TV star would go back to making sex tapes, or posing nude in Playboy, we could report on something other than the fact that her and LaLa Vazquez went shopping in Beverly Hills this week.

Alas, this is all we have at the moment. Even Kim herself seems bored by this activity, as she’s seemingly telling a photographer, in the shot below, that there are more interesting things to snap pictures of than her jaunt across the street:

Debbie Rowe Trying to Contact Jackson Family

Debbie Rowe, Michael Jackson’s ex-wife and mother of his two eldest kids, has left messages in hopes of getting in touch with the late singer’s family.

She’s been unsuccessful so far, according to reports.

“We’ve been trying to reach them at different numbers,” says Marc Schaffel, a former Jackson business associate who’s close with Debbie Rowe. “We don’t know if who we have been leaving messages with have gotten the messages.”

Rowe is the legal parent of Prince Michael Jackson I (a.k.a. Michael Joseph Jackson, Jr.), 12, and Paris Jackson, 11, and most sources close to the situation think that she can likely obtain custody of the two children if she chooses.

Jackson’s third child, Prince Michael Jackson II (a.k.a. Blanket), 7, was born to Michael via an unnamed surrogate who has never once been identified.

The children’s grandmother and Michael’s mother, Katherine Jackson, was granted temporary guardianship after filing a petition in L.A. Probate Court.

In the 22-page document, Katherine claims the kids “have no relationship with their biological mother” and “have a long established relationship” with her.

“In all fairness I wouldn’t say they are avoiding [Debbie],” Schaffel says, adding that Rowe usually contacts them through Jackson’s business office. “Our understanding, though, is that the Jackson family does want contact with Debbie.”

Schaffel says there were “several reasons” why Rowe reached out, including wanting “to offer input into a venue where they could have a public memorial.”

“Debbie was absolutely devastated by Michael’s death,” he says.

“They had an incredible bond and friendship even prior to the marriage … Debbie was a very good friend to Michael during all those years.”

While Schaffel won’t comment on whether Debbie Rowe has had contact with the kids the past few days, or will seek custody of them herself, “she understands it’s a very difficult time for everybody involved, including the children.”

“I think everybody involved would say they want to see the children have no more disruption in their life until their father has been put to rest.”

Rick Astley Dead? Not So Much!

Rick Astley is reportedly dead.

Rick Astley is also reportedly NOT dead.

In what appears to be yet another Internet death hoax this week, a fake AP report said the singer-songwriter, most famous for his one-hit wonder single “Never Gonna Give You Up” in 1987, had been found dead in a Berlin Hotel Room.

According to a CNN iReport that appeared to be based on a legitimate AP wire story, Astley’s body was found at the Angleterre Hotel in Berlin:

“[Rick Astley] was found unconscious in his hotel bedroom and was unable to be resuscitated. He was pronounced dead on the scene.”

However, the story did not appear on the official AP newswire, and a link on the Digg social networking site took visitors to a YouTube clip of Astley singing “Never Gonna Give You Up” and said, “You’ve beeen Rickrolled.”

While the people reponsible for this probably thought this was pretty funny, it was a borderline move at best during a week in which several prominent figures died – Ed McMahon, Michael Jackson, Farrah Fawcett, and Billy Mays.

Over the past week alone, fake news reports have surfaced saying such stars as Jeff Goldblum, George Clooney, and Natalie Portman had died.

Twitter hacking of Miley Cyrus and Britney Spears‘ accounts also suggested the premature demise of these talented youngsters. Will it ever end?

Sarah Jessica Parker Twins: Home at Last!

After nine long months and a possible extortion plot, Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick are safe at home with the two new additions to their family.

Sarah Jessica Parker cradles daughter Marion Loretta Elwell Broderick as husband Matthew Broderick held Tabitha Hodge Broderick in New York City Monday.

The proud parents and the twins, born via surrogate at East Ohio Regional Hospital, were joined by the couple’s adorable son James Wilkie Broderick, 6 1/2.

The birth of the twins took place a week ago, and both Hodge and Elwell are family names on Sarah Jessica’s side. Here’s the whole family together:

Ashley Tisdale is a Guilty Pleasure

Life is good for Ashley Tisdale.

The former High School Musical star has a new boyfriend (Scott Speer), a new movie coming out (Aliens in the Attic) and a new album on the way (Guilty Pleasure will be released on July 31).

But Tisdale isn’t just sitting back and anticipating success. She’s making it happen!
